Delhi 30, April 2018: On the last day of Third Asian Designer Week, Vatsalya Charitable Trust for Education organised the third season of the Design Bloom Fashion Week in Bikaner House New Delhi. In this eason, six new designers were launched by Vatsalya.Among them, there were five Indian designers as well as one International designer from Myanmar, Burma. Designer Bloom competitiondoes the task of finding out hidden fresh talents which is made possible by the Vatsalya Charitable Trust for Education.
Two hundred students from ten different fashion colleges/institutes registered for this summer season of the Design Bloom Competition. In the Competition, Sustainable fashion from DeepikaRathi- International College of Fashion of Design Zone Academy, Eco fashion from Inspired Collection by Ritika Raj- Janki Devi Vocational Centre, collection inspired from Shangri La Paper and inspired collections from SMOGwere listed down. From the freelance category by Jury, KislayKumari had worked on Aquamarine. Sananyam Jain worked on Avant-garde-Blue and My Sandre (Myanmar) along with working on Merky. Vatsalya launched the integration of India-Myanmar embroidery and traditions. Marti Theme was presented as well as Indo-Burman culture was also portrayed in this event.
The chairman of Vatsalya Charitable Trust for Education Shree Kapil Kishor said “ Vatsalya does not only provides a ramp to the students, it also gives them ample opportunity to make contacts in the global market. By joining hands with all our sponsors, we first unearth hidden talentsand then we polish it up.”
Famous fashion photographer Rohit Suri organised the shoot of the outfits of the selected designers and Shivangi Kishor Trust Vatsalya directed the Design Bloom programme.
The event was closed with variety entertainment programme and a display of talent from Myanmar (Burma) by Marti Theme as well as the exhibition of Indo-Burman Culture.
Design Bloom Compeition is one of the many designing contests in India where a student while studying “gets direct entrance from design school to fashion school”.
